I am a transplant to North Carolina from the Midwest. Since I purchased property (at least my wife did) that makes me a Damn Yankee. I enjoy photography and traveling with my wife. Luckily, those two pastimes are complimentary.

I have five grown children who have six children among them. I’m very fortunate that they are healthy and happy for the most part. I am also the proud father of a recent enlistee in the United States Navy. My youngest son completed basic training on August 8, 2008, and is currently stationed in South Carolina for training.

As for my photography interest, I currently use a Canon EOS 20D most of the time. I started my exploration of digital photography with a Fuji Finepix S602 zoom that I recently sold. Digital camera equipment has made it possible for me to explore a hobby that would otherwise be a lot more expensive if I had to worry about developing film. Not to say that it’s not expensive enough as it is.
