Blessed by the Best

As I mentioned yesterday, I’ve been honored with a couple more rewards in the past few days. I would like to start by acknowledging those awards here.

The first is the Good Buzzz Blog Award, and was given to my by Robert, my Canadian redneck friend. Robert is a regular visitor and contributor to the comments section of my blog, and I really appreciate this award from him. He was recently honored with the Blog of the Day Award from Fuel My Blog and he truly deserves being honored with that award.

Robert writes a lot about his years traveling all over the United States and Canada as a professional truck driver. That has a special interest for me, because my father spent close to 60 years in that profession. Until a couple of months ago, Dad was still working full time as a driver, at the age of 84. It took a diagnosis of lung cancer to get him out from behind the wheel. Thankfully, he has had a successful surgery and his prognosis is very positive.

Thank you, Robert, for your interest in my little corner of the blogosphere, and for you frequent posts in the comments section.

I also received my second award from Dawn, over at Twisted Sister. She has graced me this time with the I’m a Little Nutty Award. Dawn doesn’t know it, but my kids would say that she is the queen of understatement, because I am more than just a little nutty. I could produce peanut butter for years with my nuttiness.

Dawn is another regular visitor to Tar Hell Ramblings who keeps the comment section from being totally ignored, and I truly appreciate her support and encouragement. She likes me so much she’s given me two rewards after all!

Dawn has a great blog of her own and is certainly worthy of a visit. She has a great sense of humor and does her best to keep everyone who reads her blog smiling.

Robert and Dawn, thank you for rewarding my attempts and this blogging thing. It keeps me motivated to make sure what I write is worth reading.
