Mimi Writes…….: Don’t Make Me Blog That

Mimi Writes…….: Don’t Make Me Blog That  is a wonderful post from Mimi Lenox (Mimi Queen of Memes) about making sure we don’t hold back in our relationships. The post is wonderful, but the circumstances that prompted the post are more than a little scary. Mimi almost got creamed by a careless driver and the experience prompted her to think about all the important people in her life and her last contact with them. Did she say everything she wanted to say to them? Did she say she loved them?

This was one of those posts that really got me to thinking about my own life and the people in it. For that reason, I am awarding Mimi the Brain Building Blog Award. Thanks for getting me to think, Mimi.

Mimi: You are most welcome. I am also glad that we have made a cyber-acquaintance. I look forward to getting to know my North Carolina neighbor in the coming year.

  • being a Road Dog I have seen way to much of that…it amazes me how people can carelessly put other human beings in harm’s way to gain a minute or two or by just not paying attention..

Robert: When I read Mimi’s post it reminded me of what things were like after Hurricane Fran hit North Carolina in 1996. There were thousands of trees down around Raleigh and electricity was out over most of the city for two full days. Of course the traffic lights weren’t working. It amazed me that people blew through intersections where lights weren’t working like they had a green light. People were driving through these intersections at 45 – 50 miles per hour, and I never saw a brake light. I witnessed one small fender-bender and the guy who got the angriest was the one who went through the intersection without stopping first. He was quite upset when the police wrote him the ticket.

  • Lee – Read this wonderful tale by Margo Moon at The Starr Ann Chronicles. She told me she’d been thinking on this subject as well.
It’s a great read. I highly recommend it.
