2009 - A Look Back

2009 was an interesting year for Tarheel Ramblings. There were gaps in posts because of a lack of inspiration, too much anger, too much work, too little ambition…there are more reasons that Carter’s Little Liver Pills (to borrow an old saying from my grandfather). Anyway, in this collage are some of the images that were considered for Sunday Scenery but were not chosen.

In some cases, there was a different composition of the same subject that I liked better. In other cases, the subject matter was a little too redneck (NASCAR related) for the general tone of my blog. But they were still pretty good pictures, so I thought I would share them here in collage form.

I used Microsoft AutoCollage 2008 to create this image. It is available free trial from Microsoft Research. If you have a need to creat collages, I recommend this handy tool. It’s not very expensive, and gives pretty good results. There is not a lot of user control over the final results, but sometimes it’s fun just to see what turns up.
