I've been trying to find out a little more information about it, such as the history. I know it was donated to the park by the family of Haden Holmes Hurley, a publisher of the local newspaper. He died in 1996, so I'm assuming that the family found an antique carousel and had it moved to the park. But I've no way to know for sure.
