Those chapel arches are so beautifully detailed! They look wonderful from this angle cascading into the distance.

This chapel is overwhelming. It’s beautiful with the different colors of the bricks.

Not doing this meme, but that is a great photo of the arches. The Duke campus is one of my favorite places for the architecture and gardens. I have not been back recently, but I know it has expanded greatly.

    Very fine architecture.

    Very impressive!
We have similar posts today – mine is also an interior shot. Have a great weekend :)

Lovely perspective! I absolutely adore the arches… photography at its finest! Very nice indeed!

And what could be better than the arches of a chapel on a Sunday for scenery? Very nice!

My scenery picture looks more like your picture for yesterday’s Photo Scavenger Hunt but I least I wasn’t just looking at hospital walls all weekend!

Love the detail on these fine arches.

Great photo! We have an abbey on ours this week and had a similar photo earlier in the week….not as good as this though!

Hi! First time for me with this meme. So nice that there is one for Sunday and even nicer that it’s not restricted to something specific. Thanks for hosting this Tarheel Rambler. I so enjoy seeing different beauty spots around the world and Sunday is a perfect day for it.
I must admire the clarity and sharpness on the above photo of the abbey roof. Lovely arches that seem to go on forever. Really fabulous capture.

I love the shapes and the details in these arches. You’ve got a good eye for a great picture. :)

Nice take! I thought maybe this was Duke when I saw it since you’d featured the outside of it not so long ago. Magnificent lighting here!

I absolutely love this photo. The shapes and details are magnificent.

    you are so talented.

Gorgeous shot. They don’t build chapels like that anymore.

  • http://www.tarheelramblings.com Lee

It is Duke, Mojo. It is one of the side entrances to Duke Chapel.

Thank you for your kind words. It is turning out to be one of my favorite captures of the recent past. It turned out really well, and I was doing a little experimenting with my camera when I captured it. I tend to use the same settings over and over, and in this case I paid attention to what were better choices for the lighting and scene I was capturing.
