Meleah: Thank you. This is one small example of the marvelous scenery along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Vixen: Welcome to Tarheel Ramblings and thanks for leaving a comment. There are lots of great spots to play in the grass in this area of North Carolina.

  • That’s a lovely spot. Wish I could lie down in the grass and snap a shot too.

  • I purchased one of Scott Graham’s book last winter while visiting NC. His photography is amazing and his love for the Blue Ridge Mountains and the surrounding landscape is quite evident in every photo. I display the book proudly in my family room and every now and then browse through the pages.

Funny but I recognize the trees and the grass and the picnic table. Although I have no idea where exactly you took the photo, it feels sooo familiar. Looking at it makes me happy…very happy.

The Fearless Blog: I’m not familiar with Scott Graham, but I’ll be looking him up! :D Thanks for the tip. The picture was taken on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Boone, NC. When I got home and brought up the picture on my screen it looked familiar to me as well. I was trying to capture a sense of what the Blue Ridge Parkway is all about, with the many scenic turn offs and picnic spots.
