It hasn’t rained more than a sprinkle in the last 3 or 4 months, it seems. Now that the State Fair is running we’ve gotten rain two days in a row. Go figure! Mind you, these haven’t been gully washers or anything that will kill the drought, but it’s rain.
Isn’t that the way things usually work out? Just when you need conditions to be a certain way so that you can enjoy an event, or get something done, you can almost count on just the opposite being the reality.
Well, regardless, I’m going to go ahead and make plans to go to the Fair on Sunday. Two of my favorite pastimes are people-watching and taking pictures. The Fair is a great opportunity to indulge in both! I don’t know why I look forward to going, or enjoy the State Fair, because not much changes from year to year, but I do have a good time.
Keep your eyes open, maybe you’ll spot me on the midway. I’ll be the one with the camera glued to my eye, and a turkey leg clutched tight in my grip!
